Getting Started
Driver Requirements
To become a KasiLink driver, you need:
- Valid South African driver's license (minimum Code 8)
- Own vehicle in good working condition
- Valid vehicle license and registration
- Valid PDP (if carrying passengers for hire)
- Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement)
- Bank account for payouts
- Smartphone with data (Android 8+ or iOS 12+)
- Clean criminal record (will be verified)
Vehicle Requirements
Your vehicle must meet these standards:
- Roadworthy and regularly serviced
- Valid license disk displayed
- Comprehensive insurance (recommended)
- Clean and presentable interior/exterior
- Adequate space for deliveries
- Safety equipment (fire extinguisher, triangle)
- Working seatbelts for all seats
- No major body damage or mechanical issues
Registration Process
Getting started is easy:
- Complete online registration form
- Upload required documents (license, ID, vehicle papers)
- Pay R30 monthly subscription fee
- Pass background check (2-3 business days)
- Attend virtual orientation (30 minutes)

Vehicle Types & Earnings
Different vehicles earn different rates. Choose what matches your vehicle:
Bicycle
Up to 20kg, short distances
Scooter/Motorcycle
Up to 50kg, fast delivery
Car/Sedan
Up to 200kg, most common
Bakkie/Van
Up to 1000kg, furniture moves
Earn extra by combining multiple deliveries in one trip! Example: Pick up from 3 different traders going to same area = 3 delivery fees in one trip.

How It Works
Go Online
When you're ready to work:
- Open KasiLink driver app
- Tap "Go Online" to appear available
- Set your preferred area or let GPS auto-detect
- Indicate if you can carry passengers
- Set your vehicle type and capacity
- Choose your service radius (5km-50km)
Receive Delivery Requests
When a customer needs delivery:
- You receive ping with pickup/dropoff locations
- See estimated distance and earnings
- Accept or decline within 30 seconds
- Multiple drivers may be pinged - first to accept wins
- For large items: you'll see weight and dimensions
- Special requests (e.g., fragile items) highlighted
Pick Up & Deliver
After accepting a delivery:
- Navigate to pickup location using in-app GPS
- Confirm pickup with trader/customer
- Scan QR code or enter pickup code
- Drive safely to delivery location
- Hand over to recipient and get confirmation
- Take photo proof of delivery (optional)
Get Paid
Payment process:
- Payment automatically added to your wallet
- View earnings instantly in app
- Cash tips go directly to you
- Request payout anytime (min R100)

- Fuel: ~R0.80 per km (average)
